Top 5 Destination Pools in Utah

Summa, summa, summa-time, time to sit back and unwind.

Someone asked me where I’ll be spending my summer. My response? Hands down, the pool. Living in Utah, it seems we get the shaft on hot months, (cringe) handed a mere 3 months of ‘sweat from every pour’ weather and the rest, bitter icy chill, unless you’re one of those who is into that, in that case, you have something to look forward to at the ski slopes and rolling hills. For the rest of us, the one thing we look forward to, Utah’s smoldering hot summers, poolside lounging, flip flops and shades.

This year, I took some extra time to plan my assault on summertime fun, poolside adventures and lazy rivers. I figured I’d make the hunt a little easier on my friends and share my treasure. In addition to the cool dip, amidst the spicy heat, my adventures have to lead me to a ‘home away from home’, a place I can relax, sun-kissed and fall head over heels with the scenery. Ladies, gents! I think I found my paradise.

So, without any further ado, I give you, the golden map, the secret to summer lovin’, my top Utah pools this summertime.

  1. Farmington Oasis  |  Ok new friends, some long time old friends of mine built this magnificent beauty with the help from my favorite rock experts, Rockology, for their summertime oasis. You may not be able to party crash up here (sigh), sorry amigos, but thanks to the phenomenal landscape design by Rockology, this wins, by a long shot. This is the one place I’d like to exist… let’s say, forever!
  2. The St. Regis, Deer Valley  |  Really!? The Infinity pool is breathtaking, not to mention the scenic mountain top or the tram ride up the slope to arrive in paradise. Poolside cabana? Yes please!
  3. The Grand America, SLC  |  Around here, I feel like a goddess, like royalty. Have you seen the pillars? It’s as though were coming straight out of the greek mythology tails. Count me in, all day.
  4. Amangiri, Canyon Point  |  This one leaves me awestruck. Our friends at Rockology will surely love this, surrounded by all-natural rock, poolside lounges, private patios, and a bar if you’re feeling like a refreshing mixer.
  5. Montage, Deer Valley  |  Best indoor pool around. I know what you’re thinking, who wants to spend summer indoors? Fear not, they have both indoor and outdoor, whichever suits your pool fancy.

Umm, I’m dying over this Amangiri pool, who even knew that existed here in Utah. I’ll pack too.

Oh my, Rockology, you did that first pool in Farmington? I’m mind blown! Really. My husband and I have been discussing pools for a while now, maybe it’s time to take the leap, literally, right into our own backyard pool. I’m calling for a quote, thanks guys.
